Emma worked on the value of numbers using the Montessori stairs using the unifex cubes
We all said goodbye to Tommy by having a bubble party and visiting the sand park.
Cole by accident got a hold of the spoon and fed himself. Although it was messy it was neat see him try his best at this new learning experience.
We wrote a letter to Joshua and told him how much we missed him. Then we made a trip to the post office to mail it. Hopefully he will mail us a letter back or even better come visit us.
We did a neat art project with magic paper. Invisible paper was a hit.
We felt for objects in the box and made guesses of what we thought they were with our new homes teacher Nikisha. It is much harder then you think to guess correctly.
In our water table we did messy and clean activities. Here we are washing baby dolls with washcloths and soap.
Our new friend Aidan turned 3 years old and shared cupcakes with us.
We made necklaces by sliding fruit loops onto strings. The is a good hand eye coordination as well as a fine motor activity. I'm not sure these necklaces even made them home. Most kids couldn't resist sneaking a few here and there from their necklace.
Here we are color matching and grouping them
Here's what I mean when I say we did a messy activity. We filled the table with about 40 pounds of coffee grounds and hid our rubber worms inside. This was a great sensory project as the classroom was filled with yummy coffee smells. One of the children said it reminded them of their grandmas house and her coffee.
We are still visiting the park on Wednesdays. The best part of the week is when the children get to play in the sand. Many local parks no longer have sand which is unfortunate as the children have a great time building and using their imaginations. Its never the same as they play differently each week with it.
